of TIM.

is TIM’s offer to the Associate?
Here is an

What
does TIM’s License Offer to
the Associates?
TIM provides
a License to operate under the brand
name of TIM for a period of 3 years.
During this time, the Associate
can use TIM’s logo, market
its ready-made courses, gets TIM’s
support for the operations, gets
TIM’s courseware for students
and finally the certification from
TIM. TIM charges one time License
Fee for the duration of the License.
This fee varies from city to city.

What
is the royalty charged by TIM per
student?
A portion
of students fee collected by the
Associate, is charged by TIM as
a royalty per student depending
upon the course enrolled for. Against
this royalty, TIM provides courseware
per students, I-cards and certification
after successful completion. The
royalty generally varies from 20%
to 30% depending upon the courses.
Service Tax is applicable on this
royalty.
What
Infrastructure is required to become
TIM’s Associate?
You require
the following infrastructure:
- At least one class
room with a capacity of 15 / 20
students with a white board
- Counseling Area
- 2 computers with
internet access
- Overhead Projector,
LCD projector if possible.
- Display area
outside the premises to put up the
signage
- Total area of
around 500 Sq Ft.
What
manpower do I require to run the
Franchised Centre of TIM?
Minimum requirement
of the manpower is as follows:
- A counselor
- A faculty cum
Manager
- Office boy
How does
Associate manages to get the faculties?
Initially,
you should identify professionals
from Travel Agencies / Airlines
/ Hotels who would be interested
to teach on a part time basis like
visiting Faculties and are staying
/ working in areas near your premises.
These professionals can be given
TIM books
and the guidelines to teach.
Once adequate number of students
are enrolled, you can have full
time faculty recruited. If you are
already having activities in Tourism
industry, you can also depute any
of your staff as Faculty. For those
who are already in Travel &
Tourism, there is quite a lot of
synergy in the businesses.
What
is the Procedure to Obtain TIM’s
Franchise?
You should
conduct small survey to check how
many students you can enroll in
one financial year, make feasibility
calculations and once convinced
about it, call TIM and ask for Franchise
Application Form.
Fill the Form and send it to TIM

Once the application is approved,
you can enter into a MoU with TIM
and make full payment of the License
Fees You will get 3 months period
to create the infrastructure required
for the institute. Once the infrastructure
is ready, TIM will inspect the infrastructure
and will give NOC to launch. At that
time first advertisement can be released
in the media.
Who will
do the advertising for Franchised
Centre?
Advertising
is totally a responsibility of Franchisee.
However, various artworks for advertisements,
brochures, banner will be provided
by TIM. Over and above advertising
/ promotion on a national level
in will be done by TIM by way of
participating in various exhibitions,
web site advertising, attending
seminars etc.
Who is
responsible for Profitability of
this Franchised Centre?
Franchisee
is going to be In-charge of the
Franchised centre. He / she gets
to use the goodwill of TIM, its
courses & certification, guidance.
However making use of all this in
the given territory, and make money,
is the total responsibility of the
Franchisee.
Is it
the right time to take a Franchise
of TIM?
Yes, this is the right time for
taking up a Franchise, since Tourism
industry is now once again growing,
economic growth is fuelling business
travel and more disposable incomes
